Kids Preferred Toy Company Issues Voluntary Recall of 587,000 Plush Toys
It's hard to imagine that the holidays are nearly upon us. For many parents, that means it's almost time for Christmas shopping. However, because toy recalls occur frequently, it's important for parents to be aware of what toys are and are not safe for their little ones. A quick glance at the news or Consumer Product Safety Commission's website is a good way to find information about any current recalls, such as the one recently issued by Kids Preferred Toy Company. Yesterday the toy company recalled “more than 587,000 children's toys...because of a wind-up attachment that could pose a choking hazard.”According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the “metal post or handle” on the musical wind-up toy can detach. Considering these toys are geared towards younger children more likely to put objects in their mouth, Kids Preferred Toy Company is taking the matter very seriously, as well it should.
